Our client is an established, multi-location specialty medical practice in Central Florida. The team is experienced and close-knit, and everyone works toward the same goal: great patient care. Leadership is flexible about life outside work, and managers step in to cover when needed.

About the role

This Medical Assistant supports physicians in the procedure room and keeps the clinic running smoothly. Certification isn't required by Florida, but this practice wants someone certified who is confident with sterile technique. You'll be the person physicians rely on to have the room, the supplies and the patient ready.

What you'll do

\n
• Prepare procedure rooms and set up and maintain the sterile field
\n
• Assist physicians during in-office procedures and anticipate their needs
\n
• Room patients, take vitals and update medical histories in the EMR
\n
• Prepare patients for procedures and give clear post-procedure instructions
\n
• Clean, sterilize and stock instruments, supplies and equipment
\n
• Follow infection control, OSHA and safety protocols
\n
• Coordinate with front desk and insurance staff to keep patient flow on schedule
\n

What you'll bring

\n
• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA or equivalent)
\n
• Hands-on experience with sterile field setup and procedure-room assisting
\n
• 1+ years as an MA in a specialty, surgical or procedural practice
\n
• Calm, professional manner with patients and physicians in a fast-paced setting
\n
• BLS certification, or willingness to obtain it
\n

Nice to have

• Experience in a surgical or procedural specialty practice
\n
• Epic EMR experience
\n
